The trailer of a new movie, God Calling, which was written and directed by Bodunrin 'BB' Sasore, has been released. God Calling is a faith-based movie, which explores what it would be like for Abraham or Elijah to be Nigerian in 2018. The cast of the movie include Zainab Balogun, Karibi Fubara, Richard Mofe-Damijo, Onyeka Onwenu, Nkem Owoh, Tina Mba, Patrick Diabuah, Seun Ajayi, and Eku Edewor.

RMD, NKEM OWOH, PATIENCE OZOKWO, FUNKE AKINDELE, STAR IN 'CHIEF DADDY'


Richard Mofe-Damijo, Nkem Owoh, Kate Henshaw, and Funke Akindele, are part of the stellar cast, of the movie CHIEF DADDY, which will be released in cinemas across Nigeria on December 14. The movie was directed by Nigerian filmmaker, Niyi Akinmolayan (The Wedding Party 2, The Arbitration). Also in the movie are Kate Henshaw, Taiwo Obileye, Rachel Oniga, Ini Edo, and Linda Ejiofor. CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY: RICHARD MOFE-DAMIJO


Hip Hip Hooray! Today (July 6, 2015) is the 54th birthday of veteran actor and Nollywood star, Richard Mofe-Damijo. He is from Delta State (Nigeria), and he is a graduate of Theatre Arts from the University of Benin. He started his acting career in the 80s, appearing in soap operas such as SPACS, Ripples, and Checkmate. Some of his movies are Violated, Keeping Faith, Diamond Ring, and Out of Bounds. In 2005, he won the AMAA award for Best Actor. Join us in wishing him a happy birthday.

Nollywood legend, Richard Mofe-Damijo, arrived in New York on Friday (June 28, 2015) to play  lead role in an international film, anchored by the Nollywood Producers Guild of America. The film also stars Annie Macaulay Idibia, Chinny Chukwu, and Pascal Atuma. The film is being directed by John Uche and it is being produced by Pascal Atuma for the Nollywood Producers Guild and African Pictures Inc.

Nollywood legend, Richard Mofe-Damijo, plays the character, Gunpowder, in the Curtis Graham action thriller, OLOIBIRI, which is scheduled to hit cinemas this May. The movie also stars William R. Moses, Olu Jacobs, Taiwo Ajai-Lycett, Ivie Okujaye, and Ifeanyi Williams. His character is a violent militant, who is disenchanted with the exploitation of his hometown, Oloibiri, by oil companies. YOUNGER ACTORS PAY HOMAGE TO RICHARD MOFE-DAMIJO AT AMVCA 2015


Nollywood legend, Richard Mofe-Damijo, attended the recently held, AfricaMagic Viewers' Choice Awards. It was a triumphant outing for the veteran actor, even though he did not win in the Best Supporting Actor category, in which he was nominated. It was clear at the event that he had inspired a whole generation of younger actors as they paid tribute to him, on and off camera. Desmond Elliott, Femi Jacobs, and Blossom Chukwujekwu in particular acknowledged that he had been an inspiration for them.

The Delta Entertainment Awards took place on June 11 at Orchid Hotel in Asaba. It was organized by Corporate Fun Plus, with the support of the Delta State government. The award for Most Outstanding Actor (Male) went to Uti Nwachukwu, while the award for Most Outstanding Actor (Female) went to Ufuoma McDermott. The award for Most Promising Actor (Male) went to Dave Ogbeni, while the award for Most Outstanding Actor (Female), went to Beverly Naya. AMAKA IGWE'S SERVICE OF SONGS IN PICTURES


A service of songs and tribute night was held on Monday (June 9, 2014), for late filmmaker and media entrepreneur, Amaka Igwe. She died in Enugu on April 29, 2014, at the age of 51, after suffering from an asthma attack. The service of songs was attended by many of her friends, associates, and collaborators.

Remy Martin stepped a notch higher in its culture of celebrating excellence as it debuted the Remy Martin Pacesetters Grandmasters party edition at Avenue Suites in Victoria Island, Lagos. The new edition aims to celebrate leading exponents in their crafts who have set positive trend worthy of emulation by the younger generation. The celebrants of the Grandmasters edition debut, Chris Ubosi and Richard Mofe-Damijo were treated to a night of celebration with close knit family and friends as well as music from Waje and Ruby.
