The Delta Entertainment Awards took place on June 11 at Orchid Hotel in Asaba. It was organized by Corporate Fun Plus, with the support of the Delta State government. The award for Most Outstanding Actor (Male) went to Uti Nwachukwu, while the award for Most Outstanding Actor (Female) went to Ufuoma McDermott. The award for Most Promising Actor (Male) went to Dave Ogbeni, while the award for Most Outstanding Actor (Female), went to Beverly Naya. Hip Hip Hooray! Today (April 23) is the birthday of popular Nollywood actress, Ufuoma McDermott (nee Ejenobor). She is from Delta State (Nigeria). She attended the University of Lagos, where she obtained a degree in French. Some of her movies are A Private Storm, Empty Coffin, Twist of Fate, and The Mortal Man.
