CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY: NORBERT YOUNG


Hip Hip Hooray! Today (July 3) is the birthday of veteran actor, Norbert Young. He is from Warri, Delta State. He attended the University of Ibadan, where he obtained a Diploma in Theatre Arts, before going on to the University of Benin. He has been part of many theatre, TV, and movie productions. He played the role of Professor Okon in the popular 80s soap opera, Checkmate. Some his movies are When Love Dies, Missing Angel, Dangerous Twins, Heroes and Zeros, and The Gods are Still Not To Blame. He is married to the actress, Gloria Anozie-Young, with whom he has a daughter. Join us in wishing him a happy birthday.

AMAKA IGWE'S SERVICE OF SONGS IN PICTURES


A service of songs and tribute night was held on Monday (June 9, 2014), for late filmmaker and media entrepreneur, Amaka Igwe. She died in Enugu on April 29, 2014, at the age of 51, after suffering from an asthma attack. The service of songs was attended by many of her friends, associates, and collaborators.

Friends, family, and associates, gathered at Haven Gardens yesterday (June 9, 2014), to hold a service of songs and tribute night for late filmmaker and media entrepreneur, Amaka Igwe, who passed away on April 29. Some of those who were at the service are Richard Mofe Damijo, Ejike Asiegbu, Tunde Kelani, Ekpenyong Bassey Inyang, Norbert Young, Patrick Doyle, Ireti Doyle, Henrietta Kosoko, Kunle Bamtefa, Gloria Ene, and Ego Boyo. STELLA DAMASUS GRACES PREMIERE OF "ZR-7"

Star actress Stella Damasus, was one of several celebrities, who graced the premier of the new movie, ZR-7. The premier took place at the Oriental Hotel in Lekki, Lagos (Nigeria), on Friday, August 12, 2011. ZR-7 is a boarding school adventure movie set in Nigeria.
