Ọọni of Ife Reconciles Alhaji Kareem Adepoju and Tunde Kelani

In a heartwarming turn of events, "Aṣiyanbí" the stage adaptation of the 1993 Yorùbá classic film "Ti Olúwa Ni Ilẹ̀" has brought together two Yoruba film industry veterans, Alhaji Kareem Adepoju (Baba Wande) and Tunde Kelani, after a long period of separation.

AMAKA IGWE'S SERVICE OF SONGS IN PICTURES

A service of songs and tribute night was held on Monday (June 9, 2014), for late filmmaker and media entrepreneur, Amaka Igwe. She died in Enugu on April 29, 2014, at the age of 51, after suffering from an asthma attack. The service of songs was attended by many of her friends, associates, and collaborators.

TUNDE KELANI TO PRODUCE KHABIRAT KAFIDIPE'S NEW TV SHOW

Tunde Kelani's Mainframe TV will be producing a new TV show named Kafiomoge, which will be hosted by Nollywood actress, Khabirat Kafidipe. The show, which will be in vintage Yoruba, will be about cosmetics and fashion. Shooting is expected to start once the Khabirat Kafidipe, who is currently in the United States, returns to Nigeria.

Veteran filmmaker, Tunde Kelani, is currently having a running battle with pirates, who have flooded the streets with illegal copies of his movie, MAAMi. The movie was released last Monday on DVD,in a laminated jewel box. However, 24 hours after the release of the movie, pirates flooded the market with cheap copies of the movie.
