JIDE KOSOKO, SAMBASA NZERIBE, CHIDOZIE IMO IN 'KASALA!'

Jide Kosoko, Sambasa Nzeribe, snd Chidozie Imo, are in a new movie titled Kasala, which will be released in cinemas across Nigeria on December 7. The movie has already done the tour of the festival circuit, and won the Audience Choice award at the Africa International Film Festival. It is the debut film of female director, Ema Edosio.

Alexx Ekubo, Ramsey Nouah, and Annie Idibia, star in the movie, POWER OF 1, which will be released in cinemas across Nigeria on December 7. The movie was directed by award-winning filmmaker, Izu Ojukwu ('76, Sitanda). Also in the movie are Jide Kosoko, Bimbo Manuel, Jibola Dabo, Michelle Dede, Padita Agu, and Lucy Ameh.

Hip! Hip! Hooray!! Today, (January 12) is the birthday of veteran Nollywood icon, Prince Jide Kosoko. He is from Lagos Island, Lagos State ,Nigeria. He attended the Yaba College of Technology where he Studied Business Administration and he also went to Lagos School of Drama (Theatre Arts). He started acting in 1964 at the age of 10. His major break into the industry was from the movie TAXI DRIVER, in 1983.

Mike Ezuruonye, Bimbo Akintola, and Jide Kosoko, recently completed a new movie, which was shot in Lagos, and directed by Francis Uwanna. YAAAAY! SOLA KOSOKO GIVES BIRTH TO BABY GIRL

Nollywood actress, Sola Kosoko Abina, and her husband, have been blessed with a baby girl. The couple got married in 2012, and this will be their first child. Incidentally, the child is also the granddaughter of veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, who is Sola Kosoko Abina's father. The actress gave birth to her daughter in America. We say congrats to the couple.

EBUN OLOYEDE RELEASES MULTIMILLION-NAIRA MOVIE, 'ADITU ISOKAN'

Nollywood actor and producer, Ebun Oloyede, has released his long awaited movie, Aditu Isokan, on DVD. The movie took him 5 years to produce, and is rumoured to have cost more than 50 million naira. It was shot in Abeokuta, Ile Ile Ife, and Ilesha. It has a cast of over 3000, and it was shot in both English and Yoruba. It stars Ebun Oloyede, Jide Kosoko, Odunlade Adekola, Adebayo Salami, Binta Ayo Mogaji,  Bukky Ajayi, Yemi Solade, Femi Ogedengbe, Adewale Ayuba, and Alabi Pasuma. 

JIDE KOSOKO, JOKE SILVA, KATE HENSHAW, PARTICIPATE IN LAGOS STATE RESIDENTS REGISTRATION EXERCISE

Jide Kosoko, Joke Silva, and Kate Henshaw, participated in a registration exercise for residents of Lagos State, which was organized specially for Nollywood actors and other entertainment personalities. Also at the exercise were Adebayo Salami, Bimbo Akintola, Yemi Solade, Kunle Afod, Yemi Sodimu, and many more.

The Seed is a movie produced by model-turned-actor, Joseph Jaiyeoba. It was directed by Saidi Balogun, and it stars Kabirat Kafidipe, Rachel Oniga, Jide Kosoko, Dele Odule, Saidi Balogun, Kelechi Udegbe, Allwell Ademola, Grace Amah, and Joseph Jaiyeoba. It was premiered on April 6 at Ikeja City Mall. It will be screened at certain selected locations before being released on DVD.

NOLLYWOOD STARS CELEBRATE JIDE KOSOKO AT 60

A lecture and party were held on Wednesday (January 29) in honor of veteran actor, Jide Kosoko, who turned 60 earlier this month on January 12. The celebration was organized by Best of Nollywood (headed by Seun Oloketuyi). The anniversary lecture, which was held at Eagles Park Hotel, Ikeja, and it was delivered by Fidelis Duker. The party, which took place at Troy Lounge in Ogba, and it was attended by several Nollywood stars. Check out pictures below.
