Over the weekend, the city of Asaba in Delta State, played host to a gathering of Nollywood stars. The stars were in Asaba for the grand opening of a new mansion, built by popular Nollywood producer, Uche Nancy. Some of the of the stars who were present at the house warming are Patience Ozokwo, Walter Anga, Nosa Rex Okunzuwa, Oma Nnadi, and Andy Ike.

The movie Dance in the Storm is being shot on 2 Red cameras both Scarlet and Epic with Robert Peters as the cinematographer.

Nollywood star, Patience Ozokwo, got a rousing reception last Tuesday (June 17), when she visited Uganda to launch the Uganda Film Festival. She was invited to launch the festival by the Communications Commission (UCC) and its Executive Director, Godfrey Mutabazi. Nollywood stars, Patience Ozokwo, Chinedu Ikedieze, and Mercy Aigbe-Gentry, on Thursday, led a rally to the Lagos State House of Assembly, calling for the release of the secondary school girls abducted by the terrorist group Boko Haram. The rally started at the popular Allen Avenue, and wound its way to the Lagos State House of Assembly in Alausa. Veteran actress, Patience Ozokwo, gave an impassioned plea calling for the release of the abducted girls with tears in her eyes and her voice hoarse with emotion. The gathering was later adressed by the speaker of the Lagos State House of Assembly, Hon. Adeyemi Ikuforiji. Also present at the rally was veteran actor Tony Akposheri, and Nollywood actress, Ejiro Okurame.
Nollywood star, Patience Ozokwo, last night, won the the award for Best Actress in a Supporting Role at the Africa Movie Academy Awards 2014, which took place in Bayelsa State. She bested Barbara Soky, Vinaya Sungkur, Marie Humbert, and Lee-Ann van Rooi, who were also nominated, to win the award. This will be the first AMAA award for the veteran Nollywood actress. Believe it or not, Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwo, stars in a new Hausa language movie titled Hassana Da Hussaina, which is a production of Uzee Concepts. The movie is about an army general who arranges for his troublesome twin sons (Rabilu Musa Ibro and Suleiman Bosho) to get married. The boys get married to another pair of twins (Patience Ozokwo and Saratu Gidado), who prove to be even more troublesome than they are! In case you were wondering, Mama G does speak Hausa in the movie.
