'BLACK NOVEMBER' MOVIE: BEST NIGERIAN FILM?


This long awaited Hollywood/Nollywood flick ‘Black November’ by Jeta Amata is now showing in LA and NY Theaters, iTunes, Amazon, and is currently being seen via Video On-Demand (VOD) on all TV cables and Satellite across the United States. To our surprise, CNN America showed the commercial of this movie ‘Black November’, and we have to commend Jeta Amata and his distribution company E-One Entertainment for doing such a great job with the promo.

AKON, YVONNE NELSON, STAR IN NEW JETA AMATA FILM

Akon, Viva Bianca (X: Night of VengeanceSpartacus), Djimon Hounsou (Gladiator, Blood Diamond), and Yvonne Nelson are starring in a new Jeta Amata movie, titled Road to Redemption (aka The Curse). The film is currently being shot on the Rene Veluzat Motion Picture Ranch in California.

Plot outline
Naive and idealistic Samantha graduates from medical school and volunteers to be a doctor in Nigeria. After realizing she can make a difference in the lives of suffering young women who will never have her advantages, Samantha drags one small corner of the world into the modern era. JETA & MBONG AMATA IN THE US

Award winning Nigerian director Jeta Amata, and his lovely wife Mbong Amata and have been in the United States promoting Jeta's new movie Black Gold. The movie tells the story of a Niger Delta community's struggle against their own government and a multinational oil corporation, which has plundered their land and destroyed the environment.

JETA AMATA HONOURED IN THE US

Ever since ace Nigerian director Jeta Amata released his movie Black Gold, he has been winning accolades for himself and his country. The most recent reward for his efforts came on Saturday (July 9, 2011) at the American Black International Film Festival in Miami, where Black Gold won the Special Grand Jury Prize.

INALÉ IN MONACO

History was made with the family epic musical film, Inale, as it received its official invite as the first Nigerian movie to be invited to the Monaco Charity Film Festival, which took place between the 4th and 11th of May, 2011 in Monaco. Even better, it qualified and was entered into competition, with 7 nominations.

NOLLYWOOD STARS STORM FRANCE


Movie stars from Nigeria and Ghana have been in France, attending the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. They have been attending screenings, interacting with their colleagues from other parts of the world, and taking a well deserved break from their hectic filming schedules.
