Movie stars from Nigeria and Ghana have been in France, attending the 2011 Cannes Film Festival. They have been attending screenings, interacting with their colleagues from other parts of the world, and taking a well deserved break from their hectic filming schedules.
Flying the African flag at Cannes this year is Jeta Amata, whose environmental movie "Black Gold" was screened at the festival. The experience has been an eye-opener for many in the African contingent, some of who are attending the festival for the first time.
For some like Yvonne Okoro, the Cannes experience has shown her that we can do so much more, and we really need to invest in our film industry. The roll call of Nigerian and Ghanaian movie stars who attended the Cannes film festival include Jeta Amata, Enyinna Nwigwe, Susan Peters, Mbong Amata, Mahmood Ali Balogun, Majid Michel, Nadia Buari, Juliet Ibrahim, John Dumelo, Yvonne Nelson, Yvonne Okoro, and Fred Nuamah. Enjoy the pictures from Cannes. Leave comments to let us know what you think.
