Nollywood practitioners on Tuesday, held a tribute night at Eko Hotel, for former presidential aide, Oronto Douglas, who died of cancer, earlier this month. The late Oronto Douglas was a great champion of Nollywood, and he used his influence to drive interest in Nollywood in government quarters. His death came as a big blow to many in the industry. Yesterday (July 12), was Nollywood star, Rita Dominic's birthday. The actress had a birthday dinner, which was attended by close friends and associates, including her BFF, Michelle Dede, Chioma Ude (Founder, AFRIFF), and film director, Mildred Okwo.
Omotola Jalade Ekeinde, Kate Henshaw, and Uche Jombo, all attended the birthday party of Chioma Ude, who us the founder of the Africa International Film Festival. The party took place over the weekend at the Ikoyi residence of Chioma Ude. Also present at the party were Celine Loader, Chineze Anyaene, Chika Chukwu, and Munachii Abii.
