HAPPY BIRTHDAY DESMOND ELLIOT

Popular Nollywood actor, director and producer, Desmond Elliot is a year older. The Nollywood star is a February baby and he celebrated his birthday on February 4th. Good-looking, talented, and focused, he is loved by Nollywood fans all over the world. Desmond was into acting as far back as his university days, when he was part of a Christian drama group. During his university days, acting was just a hobby for him, and he had no intention of making it his career. A friend suggested that he should go into acting after he had been denied a visa to travel abroad. At the time he was not doing much, and he decided to give it a try. The rest as they say is history. He came to prominence in soap operas, such as Everyday People, Saints and Sinners, and One Too Much. Over the years, he has starred in more than 200 movies. His clean cut image, boyish good looks and acting skills have endeared him to fans the world over. Talented, non-controversial, and extremely focused he is one actor that is easy to love. Today, he is not only an actor, but a producer and director as well. He is part of a young group, which includes Emem Isong, Uche Jombo, Monalisa Chinda, Nse Ikpe Etim, and Susan Peters, who are producing higer quality movies, and doing Nollywood proud globally.

He was born to a Yoruba father from Lagos (Western Nigeria), and an Igbo mother from Anambra (Eastern Nigeria). He grew up in the city of Jos(Nigeria). He had his primary education at the Air Force Primary School and later attended St John's College, both in Jos. In 2003 he graduated from Lagos State University where he studied Economics. He is married to his college sweetheart Victoria Imabong. They were both in the same acting group in university, and today they both have 4 kids (two sets of twins) - he's very married ladies. Some of his movies include Reloaded, Final Tussle, Secret Pain, and Men Who Cheat. His directorial credits include Rebound and Holding Hope. Certainly Desmond is one of the stars of Nollywood, and there is much more to expect from him in the future. Happy birthday Desmond!
