‘ONE FINE DAY’ STARRING FUNKE AKINDELE, JOKE SILVA, OLU JACOBS, BIMBO PETERS SET FOR RELEASE

One Fine Day stars Funke Akindele, Joke Silva, Olu Jacobs, Frederick Leonard, Benjamin Lugo (aka Benjamin Touitou), Memry Savanhu, and newcomer, Bimbo Peters. It is a gripping drama about two sisters Tasha and Nina who experience more than your average share of sibling rivalry which is worsened by Nina’s slightly disturbed state of mind. When a tall, handsome stranger comes to claim Tasha’s hand in marriage, Nina’s behaviour takes a turn for the worse. Could she be up to her usual anti-social tricks or is there more that lies beneath? Find out in this very gripping, unforgettable family drama. PHOTOS FROM DESMOND ELLIOTT'S INAUGURAL RECEPTION

An inaugural reception was held for Nollywood star, Desmond Elliott, on Friday (June 12, 2015), to mark his entry into the Lagos State House of Assembly. The reception, which was held in Surulere, Lagos, was attended by a number of his colleagues in Nollywood. Some of those who were at the reception are Emem Isong, Ini Edo, Omoni Oboli, Susan Peters, Peggy Ovire, and Bolanle Ninalowo. See some pictures from the reception, below.

‘NEW FILM, ‘THE BANKER’ STARRING BELINDA EFFAH, SEUN AKINDELE, MBONG AMATA, NSIKAN ISAAC SET TO BE PREMIERED!

A hot new movie The Banker, starring Nollywood’s finest, Belinda Effah, Seun Akindele, Mbong Amata, Nsikan Isaac, Ifeanyi Kalu, and Nichole Banna, is set to be premiered this month on the 16th of May 2015. Also in the movie are Emma Ayalogu, and Maureen Okpoko. The movie which was produced by Nsikan Isaac (with Emem Isong as supervising producer) also boasts Ikechukwu Onyeka as director. Screenplay and story was by seasoned writer Yinka Ogun. The venue for the premiere is the prestigious Civic Centre, in Victoria Island, Lagos and is strictly by invitation. It is sure to be a cracker. The movie will soon be released on DVD in sales outlets nationwide. Book your copy now!

SPOTTED: EMEM ISONG, MAJID MICHEL, ALEXX EKUBO, BELINDA EFFAH, AT THE GAUCHO CANARY

Emem Isong, Majid Michel, Alexx Ekubo, Belinda Effah, and Memry Savanhu, had dinner at the Gaucho Canary in London, Monday night. This follows the successful London premiere of Emem Isong's movie, Champagne, which took place last Saturday. The Gaucho Canary is an Argentinian restaurant, which serves primarily beef. Also at the dinner was Emem Isong's husband, Akama Misodi, and some other guests.
