DESMOND ELLIOTT BATTLES THE BULGE

Nollywood star, Desmond Elliott, has hit the gym, in a serious effort to lose weight. According to the actor, he used to have a 34-inch waist before shooting up to 42 inches. The filmmaker and politician now hopes to go down to a size 36, or better still, a size 34. Good luck Desmond! See more pictures below.

DESMOND ELLIOTT RECEIVES CERTIFICATE OF RETURN

Desmond Elliot on Wednesday, received his Certificate of Return, confirming his victory in the April 11 polls, in which he contested for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly. He was presented with the Certificate of Return along with other successful candidates, at a ceremony, which took place at the Lagos office of the Independent National Electoral Commission, in Yaba. DESMOND ELLIOTT DENIES SHARING MONEY ON ELECTION DAY

Desmond Elliott, who is running for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly, got more than he bargained for, when he tweeted a picture of himself handing out money to police officers during his campaign. The picture sparked allegations that he was bribing police officers at a polling unit, which could not be true, because the picture was tweeted on Friday - a day before the election. The actor has denied the allegations, but whatever be the case, it was not wise of him to put out such a picture.

VICTORY! DESMOND ELLIOTT WINS APC PRIMARIES!

Nollywood star, Desmond Elliott, has successfully scaled the first hurdle in his political career. The actor won in the primaries of the All Progressives Congress, which was held last Saturday (November 29, 2014). He will now go on to represent the party in the 2015 general election in Nigeria, where he will be contesting for a seat in the Lagos State House of Assembly. He will be seeking to represent the people of Surulere I Constituency.

The actor was very excited to meet him, as he is a huge fan of his music. Desmond Elliot, Mercy Johnson, Stella Damasus, and Daniel Ademinokan, were in North Georgia today (August 9), for the wedding of Robert Peters, who was once one of the popular faces in Nollywood, before he relocated to the United States in 2005. This will be his second marriage. In 2009, he got married to a lady named Marie Solo, however that marriage ended in divorce in 2013. NEW MOVIE ALERT: DON'T CRY FOR ME

Preparations are in top gear for the theatrical release of the movie, Don't Cry For Me, which was produced by Susan Peters and Emem Isong. The movie was shot in March, and it was directed by Desmond Elliot. It stars Yvonne Nelson, Mary Lazarus, Joseph Benjamin, Susan Peters, Joseph Benjamin, Yvonne Jegede, Uti Nwachukwu, and Melvin Oduah. It is expected that it will be in cinemas across Nigeria this August. This will be the first movie that Nollywood actress, Susan Peters, will produce.
