Bolanle Austen Peters' "House of Gaa" Coming To Netflix July 26


The much anticipated period drama, House of Ga'a, directed by acclaimed filmmaker, Bolanle Austen-Peters (Funmilayo Ransome Kuti, Collision, Man of God), will be released July 26 on Netflix. There is even more excitement about this movie, following the critical and commercial success of Funmilayo Ransome Kuti - the last film released by Bolanle Austen Peters.

House of Ga'a explores the life of the despotic 18th century military leader and kingmaker of the Old Oyo Empire, Basorun Gaa. The titular character is played by seasoned actor, Femi Branch. Also in the movie are Mike Afolarin, Funke Akindele, Toyin Abraham, Ibrahim Chatta, Dele Odule, Bimbo Manuel, Lateef Adedimeji, Femi Adebayo, Gabriel Afolayan, Jide ‘JBlaze’ Oyegbile, Seun Akindele, ⁠Yemi Blaq, Adeniyi Johnson, Muyiwa Ademola, Willam Benson, Gbenga Titiloye, and Kunle Coker.

The director, Bolanle Austen-Peters has become a filmmaker whose films people look forward to. Her small but impressive catalog of movies also includes Man of God, Bling Lagosians, Collision, and 93 Days (as producer).
