Uche Jombo's Nollywood career has been on accelerando. Her rise in Nollywood (the Nigerian movie industry) was not an outcome of mere struggle, but purpose and determination. From that Nollywood girl-next-door to enthusiastic Nollywood writer, she moved up to Nollywood A-List actor then to whom we know today as, the studio head of Uche Jombo Studios, Nollywood Reagent.
Uche Jombo whose works like After the Proposal (co-produced with Uduak Oguamanam), Unconditional, Under Your Skin (still to be released), is not done yet. She is preparing to go on set once again to film her next script. In her recent chat with Uti Nwachukwu, one of Mnet/AfricaMagic’s JARA presenters, Uti called her “The Producer on Steroids.” Uche was quoted saying to her crew on set during her last job; Under Your Skin,
“Making Money really is not my motivation in this business, my drive comes from my works impacting and challenging the norms of the society positively”.
Ujay as she is called by close associates was mentored by Nollywood amazon; Emem Isong and Uche longs to groom many other aspiring, hardworking filmmakers to limelight.
Uche is happy that one of her challenges as a producer in Nollywood is being taken care of with the coming of Rayview Consult; the industry’s proactive and proficient firm with a reputation for spotting talent and developing major careers.
"As a producer who has had some difficulties in casting for films where unfortunately the right people do not show up for auditions, the next practice across the world would be to consult with a casting agency, which is where the services of Rayview Consult comes in and is a welcomed initiative for the industry in general" Uche Jombo said
