CHINWE OWOH SLAPS UPCOMING ACTRESS ON SET
Veteran actress, Chinwe Owoh reportedly slapped an upcoming actress on the set of an epic movie, which was shot in Delta State. According to the report, the no-nonsense actress slapped her younger colleague for talking too much and for not coming on set promptly. The younger actress is said to have burst into tears, and cried uncontrollably, until she was comforted by other colleagues. We have really scratched our head as to why the respected actress would do such a thing. The only explanation we can come up with, is the fact that the veteran actress was trained in a stricter and more professional environment than we have today. The veteran actress started acting as a young lady in the 70s, featuring in early TV productions such as Hotel De Jordan. Nollywood movies, which the actress has featured in include Mothering Sunday, Christian Mother, and Heart of a Saint.

ReplyDeleteDid the girl consider the people waiting for her when she arrived late? No. So she had to be disciplined in a way that she can understand. I'm sure she must have been warned before to not come late so that they can start on time and she didn't listen. Humanity has nothing to do with this. If her mother didn't train her to obey instruction or even use common sense, then someone else just did her mother's job. Simple.

DeleteI would have slapped the girl for the same thing. It is highly unprofessional to come to work late and on top of it act like you are not serious about the job. She was cautioned in an unprofessional manner too. She deserved it. She's got no respect for authority and doesn't even deserve to be among them. They should name and shame the girl now, that will deter other stupid ones from doing the same.

Come to work on time. Noone can wait for you the whole day. Na who you be. Genevive , Monalisa , Ini , Mercy, Tonto , Oge just to name a few who have been in the industry never come late to work and you who noone knows want to already act like you know the industry. DeleteViolence is not acceptable in any society. The girl was abused plain and simple, she should have been reprimanded in a different way and it is the job of the director on set to discipline because he is the one in charge on set. Chinwe, veteran or not could be done for assault because she has no right to slap the girl even though the girl was wrong.
ReplyDeleteI think you are being too harsh.This is not violence at all and rememember this is gist you never know she might have done something to this woman that pushed her to the edge.No one can just slap someone for coming to work late or for talking too much.Its quite obvious there is more staff that might have happenned that the writer did not get.

For her to slapped the gul, that means she wanted the best for her but unfortunately the young gul don't want to help herself, you can imagine the old woman waiting for young gul for her own good, in a normal circumstances the gul supposed to be there before the older once. We must consider that she can't just slapped her like that. so you gossipers should take note.
ReplyDeleteI dont like commenting on posts but after reading through some of these comments, I would say that those who think this woman has right to slap this young girl is a bit crazy!!! you don't bully people because you are above them...well i don't wanna say much but if I will blame the director for not calling the corps!!! bullying is bad and needs to be stop! slapping doesn't mean you want the best for someone, rather you should advice the young girl if u really want the best for her. This woman is luck to have slapped a Nollywood actress, try that ship with Hollywood or Bollywood young actress and watch them teach you a life lesson.
