Hip Hip Hooray! Today (September 29) is the birthday of veteran actress, Joke Silva. She is from Lagos State, Nigeria. She studied English at the University of Lagos, and later Drama at the Webber Douglas Academy of Dramatic Arts (London, England). She is married to veteran actor, Olu Jacobs. Some of the movies she has appeared in are Violated, Silent Night, Women’s Cot, 30 Days, The Amazing Grace, and Tango With Me. In 2006, she won the AMAA award for Best Actress in a Leading Role (AMAA 2006) for her role in Women’s Cot. Join us in wishing her a happy birthday.
