BOOTLEG VIDEOS OF AKI'S WEDDING ON SALE

Sharp businessmen have released an unofficial video of the wedding of Nollywood actor, Chinedu Ikedieze, popularly known as Aki. Several people took video footage of the actor's wedding, which took place last year, and some of this footage has been packaged into a VCD. The actor did not give the producers of the video his consent, but he is said to have gotten in touch with them. According to a report, about  600 units of the VCD have been sold already.
Were the producers of the video right to release the video without the consent of the actor?

  1. Its not right to sell something for profit against ones permission but on the other I'm sure the DVD is not going to be the Nollywood blockbuster of 2012. What goes around come back around, it will back fire 10 tousand on whoever the bootlegger is

  2. I knw it's against d law for anyone 2 do junk lik dat. Well, for me i tnk it's kinda kul. Nt everybody got the opportunity the witness the marriage ceremony. And probably if "AKI." did nt provide any platform for the shooting of the video. And somebody else did it' i dnt tnk there anything wng wit it. If he had dne dat i would vigorously call it piracy. But since he didn't do so, then i will call it "COOL." afterall they were all within the arena of the marriage; security men were there, top govt. official were there nd even the governor of the state. They all saw this camera men video-ing them here and they. And if they weren't legally assigned to do that they shd be interogated and prosecut. This goes a long way to show that this country is just so backward. I did watch d video, thou, i didn't buy and i felt it was cool.
