Acclaimed Filmmaker, C.J Obasi, Selected as Juror for Locarno Film Festival


Acclaimed Nigerian filmmaker, C.J "Fiery" Obasi (Ojuju, O-Town, Mami Wata) has been selected as a member of the jury for the Concorso Cineasti del Presente section of the Locarno Film Festival. He will serve on the jury alongside French film critic, Charles Tesson, and Lina Soualem, a French-Palestinian-Algerian filmmaker and actress based in Paris.

Films screened in the Concorso Cineasti del Presente are first or second feature films. The jury will be responsible for awarding prizes in five categories, and as much as 55.000 Swiss francs in prize money.

The Locarno Film Festival is a major international film festival, held annually in Locarno, Switzerland.
