CELEBRITY BIRTHDAY: ADUNNI ADE

Hip Hip Hooray! Today (June 4) is the birthday of popular Nollywood actress, Adunni Adewale (aka Adunni Ade). She was born in New York, to a German-Irish mother and a Yoruba father. She moved back to Nigeria with her family when she was a year and her half. After her primary and secondary school education in Nigeria, she returned to America to study Accounting at the University of Kentucky.

In America, she worked in the corporate world for some time, before returning to Nigeria to pursue a career in acting. After an initial struggle for acceptance, she has become a regular face in both Yoruba and English movies. Some of the movies she has appeared in are It's Her Day, Head Gone, and Funmilayo Ransome Kuti. Join us in wishing her a happy birthday.
