Hip Hooray! Today (March 8) is the birthday of Nollywood actress, Kemi Lala
Akindoju. She is from Ondo State, Nigeria. She attended The Fountain School,
Surulere for her primary school education and she had her secondary education at Queens College, Yaba both in Lagos. She studied Insurance at
University of Lagos, and she also holds a master’s degree in Media and
Communication from the Pan African University...
In
2005, she made her first appearance in the play, All I Want For Christmas. For
the first 5 years of her acting career, she concentrated exclusively on stage
performances. She has appeared in over 70 stage productions which include Trials of Brother Jero, The Gods are not to Blame, Sizwe
Bansi is Dead, Death and the King’s Horseman,
among others. In 2010, she began to accept roles in television and film; which
was the year she won the award for Actor of the Year at The Future Awards. Some of her films/series are: Tinsel,
Alan Poza, Conversationa at Dinner, Gidi Up, Dazzling Mirage and others. Join us to wish her a happy birthday.
