Since
‘Silence’ made its entrance into the
cinemas on January 9th, it has been all commendations for Alex Mouth, Iyabo Ojo
and Joseph Benjamin all the way. According
to Gbenga Adeyinka who saw the movie at the Ikeja Mall, the movie is a good
plus for the Nigerian Movie industry as it ran away from the total normal day
to day Nollywood story to tell a story of the Abused Nigerian child...
and what
should and can be done to heal the wounds of the Abused mind. Niran Adedokun a
renowed movie journalist of many years described the movie as the growing up of
Iyabo Ojo as a filmmaker. Mature story well put together and one strong
attribute is that days after watching the movie the message keeps ringing.
According
to Hon Ayodeji Joseph, “Silence’ is
certainly a movie worth the while of every serious mind and watching the movie
reminds me of my responsibilities to the Nigerian child when I get to the house
of Reps hopefully this year. As a local
Govt chairman I came across some of the challenges that was in the movie and I
say when our filmmakers takes up tropical issues like this, it makes our
country to be better as people learn of our societal ills in a cozy manner.
Also
Sola Fajobi, CEO of DIM, producers of Next Movie Star describes the movie as a
hidden secret of the 2015 Nollywood industry.
Silence
is the second movie of Iyabo Ojo to hit the big screen, it opened on January
9th and is still in all the cinema screens across Nigeria. The movie won Best
movie and Best kid Actress at the last Best of Nollywood Awards in Port Harcourt.
