Nollywood actor and producer, Ebun Oloyede, has released his long awaited movie, Aditu Isokan, on DVD. The movie took him 5 years to produce, and is rumoured to have cost more than 50 million naira. It was shot in Abeokuta, Ile Ile Ife, and Ilesha. It has a cast of over 3000, and it was shot in both English and Yoruba. It stars Ebun Oloyede, Jide Kosoko, Odunlade Adekola, Adebayo Salami, Binta Ayo Mogaji, Bukky Ajayi, Yemi Solade, Femi Ogedengbe, Adewale Ayuba, and Alabi Pasuma.
Also in the movie are Jibola Dabo, Monsuru Obadina, Rasaq Adewale (aka Sokoti), Yomi Faleye, Kola Oyewo, Olumide Bakare, Olusegun Kehinde Ige (aka Chief Kanran), Kayode Olaiya (aka Aderupoko),and Bayo Bankole. It was directed by Adebambo Adebanjo.
Aditu Isokan preaches religious tolerance and unity. It tells the story of a young man with affiliations to both Christianity and Islam, who makes a simple mistake. Before anything could be done to remedy his mistake, emotions went wild, and a full-scale religious war ensued, which resulted in the killing of innocents.
