Nollywood star, Stella Damasus, will be speaking at the World Bank in Washington today (May 22, 2014), as part of a multi-disiciplinary exhibition on gender-based violence. Also participating in the exhibition will be Afghani photographer, Hanifa Alizada; Iraqi Poet, Rana Jaafar Yaseen, Chilean painter, Francisca Valenzuela; and Italian writer, Maura Misiti. The exhibition will be attended by World Bank group president, Jim Yong Kim. Stella Damasus is well-known as an outspoken critic of domestic violence. Her short film, When is it Enough, which tackles the subject, was recently screened in New York.
