FINALLY - SHAN GEORGE GETS MARRIED

Popular Nollywood actress Shan George is now a married woman. She got married in a quiet ceremony, which was attended by just a few people. She is said to have opted for a low key marriage because she had been advised to be less open about about her private life if she wanted her marriage to last. This will be her third marriage. She first got married in 1985, when she was just fifteen years of age. She had two children for her first husband, whom she left in 1991 when she was 21. She later met and married Anthony Nwosisi. This marriage too did not last. Let's hope that this will be third time lucky for her. Shan George is the star of films such as The General's Wife, Made in Heaven, Outcast, My Sweat, and London Fever.

If there is one word that describes actress Shan George, it is down-to-earth. Pretty and unpretentious, she has come a long way in the industry. She was born April 21, 1970 to a British father and a  Nigerian mother. Sadly her father passed away when she was just 5 years old. Following the death of her father, Shan and her mother relocated to her mothers village, where she stayed until she got married in 1985 to her first husband.

She left her first husband in 1991 at the age of 21 after having two kids with him. The years which followed were very difficult ones during which she struggled to acquire an education. For several years she ran a boutique name SHANDEL as she struggled to raise the funds to further her education. Finally she got admission to the university of Lagos to read Mass Communication in 1996.

It was in an effort to get a job to cover her school fees, that she got employment with the Nigerian Television Authority (NTA). During this time, Sadiq Daba gave her a role in the soap opera, Wind of Destiny.  Soon after, she landed her first movie role in Jeniffer Ossai's Thorns of Rose. Since then, there has been no looking back for her.

While she has been successful in her professional life, her personal life has been challenging. Following the dissolution of her second marriage, she has been linked to a number of young lovers, at least one who was reputed to have defrauded her. Despite all these experiences, Shan never ruled out the possibility of remarrying.
