YEMI BLAQ, GRACE AMA, IFEANYI OPARA, STAR IN SHORT FILM, 'NIGHT'

Yemi Blaq, Grace Ama, and Ifeanyi Opara, star in a new short film about domestic violence, titled NIGHT. The movie was directed by Labi Diya and produced by Ifeanyi Opara. The DOP for the production was Ogika Amenechi. The producer of the short film, intends to promote the movie on TV, at film festivals, and through NGOs. Hip Hip Hooray! Today (May 19) is the birthday of popular Nollywood actor, Yemi Blaq. He is from Ondo State, Nigeria. He studied Theatre Arts at the University of Benin. He started acting professionally in 2005. Some of his movies are Sinking Sands, The Haunting, High Blood Pressure, My Idol, and Letters To a Stranger. Yemi Blaq, Tayo Sobola, and Foluke Daramola-Salako star in a new movie, titled Bella, which was recently wrapped. The movie appears to deal with the adventures of a lady named Bellahu, who has prominent tribal marks. The movie was directed by Titi Jeje, and also stars Lolade Mustapha, and Biodun Okeowo.

The movie, Somewhere Down the Line, which was produced by rising Nollywood actress, Tamara Eteimo, will be premiered in Lagos on June 29. The premiere will take place at Silverbird Cinemas, Ikeja City Mall. This will be the first movie to be produced by the actress. Somewhere Down the Line was directed by Alex Mouth, and it stars Bukky Wright, Yemi Blaq, Rachael Oniga, Tamara Eteimo, Mary Lazarus, and Adetomiwa Kukoyi. The movie is a production of L'amour Synergy Int'l and it is being directed by Ade Eketunde (aka Femi Bright). Also appearing in the movie are Biodun Okeowo, Olusegun Kehinde Ige (aka Chief Kanran), and Salome Eketunde. The D.O.P for the production is Abdulahi Yusuf.

Popular actress, Juliet Ibrahim, turned 28 on March 3rd, 2014. She had her birthday party on March 2nd at the Buddha Lounge in Victoria Island, Lagos. This year she chose to celebrate her birthday with her Nigerian friends and colleagues, but her sisters Nadia and Sonia Ibrahim, as well as Ghanaian actress, Jackie Appiah, surprised her by showing up for the party.
