Today (November 16, 2018) is the 33rd wedding anniversary of iconic Nigerian actors, Olu Jacobs, and Joke Silva. They first met in 1981 at the National Theatre, where Olu Jacobs was co-directing a Wole Soyinka play. They got married 4 years later in 1985. They are blessed with three children (two boys and a girl). We wish them a happy wedding anniversary.

He was trained at the Royal Academy of Dramatic Arts in London, and his career has spanned stage, film, and home video. Some of his movies are Pirates, Eagle's Bride, 21 Days With Christ, Burning Kingdom, Mirror of Beauty, and The Return of Ogidi. He is married to the lovely Joke Silva. One Fine Day stars Funke Akindele, Joke Silva, Olu Jacobs, Frederick Leonard, Benjamin Lugo (aka Benjamin Touitou), Memry Savanhu, and newcomer, Bimbo Peters. It is a gripping drama about two sisters Tasha and Nina who experience more than your average share of sibling rivalry which is worsened by Nina’s slightly disturbed state of mind. When a tall, handsome stranger comes to claim Tasha’s hand in marriage, Nina’s behaviour takes a turn for the worse. WHAT OLU JACOBS AND JOKE SILVA WORE TO THE PRESIDENTIAL GALA

Veteran actor, Olu Jacobs, and his wife, Joke Silva, both attended the Presidential Inauguration Dinner, which took place last Thursday (May 28, 2015). The couple were photographed after the dinner. Joke Silva wore an evening dress from Lanre Da Silva Ajayi's LDA Couture. Olu Jacobs on the other hand wore a beautifully embroidered black agbada. This couple never fail to delight us.

Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, has secured the services of veteran actor, Olu Jacobs, for her new movie titled Life After Marriage, which is currently being shot in Lagos. The movie, which is being directed by Lancelot Imasuen, also stars Seun Akindele and Juliet Ibrahim. This is the first time that renowned director, Lancelot Imasuen, will be directing a Yoruba Language movie.

A service of songs and tribute night was held on Monday (June 9, 2014), for late filmmaker and media entrepreneur, Amaka Igwe. She died in Enugu on April 29, 2014, at the age of 51, after suffering from an asthma attack. The service of songs was attended by many of her friends, associates, and collaborators.
