COURT FIXES MARCH 24 FOR EMEKA IKE'S CASE AGAINST AGN

A Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, last Wednesday fixed March 24 for the hearing of a case brought by Emeka Ike, against the Actors Guild of Nigeria (AGN). The presiding judge, Justice James Tsoho, fixed the date to allow the AGN file a counter affidavit in response to the suit. Emeka  Ike filed the suit on July 25, 2013, to challenge the formation of a national unity group to run the affairs of the AGN. The actor is also seeking an order setting aside the appointment of Segun Arinze as President of the AGN and reviewing the provisions of the guild’s constitution.

COURT TAKES POSSESSION OF EMEKA IKE'S SCHOOL

Court bailiffs on January 24,  took possession of the property housing St. Nicholas College in Magodo, Lagos, which is owned by Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike. The actor and the owners of the property had been in court over the property for about 5 years. However, the actor lost the court case, and was subsequently ejected from the property.

EMEKA IKE AND HIS BEAUTIFUL WIFE

Nollywood actor, Emeka Ike and his beautiful wife, Suzanne Rero Ike, were photographed together at the premiere of the movie, A Mile From Home, which took place on June 31, at Silverbird Galleria, Lagos. The couple were married in the year 2000, and they have 3 lovely kids. Suzanne is mixed race - of Dutch and Isoko (Delta State) descent.

EMEKA IKE'S 4-YEAR OLD SON CRASHES SUV

Disaster was narrowly averted last week, when the 4-year  old son of Emeka Ike accidentally put a SUV in auto drive, while out with his mother. The mother reportedly left the young boy in the car, with the keys of the car in the ignition, and the child somehow managed to put the the car in auto drive, causing the car to run into another vehicle, and then into a supermarket.

CELEBRITIES AT MERCY JOHNSON'S WEDDING

The wedding of star actress, Mercy Johnson, which took place on Saturday (August 27, 2010), was attended by the cream of Nollywood as well as a host of other celebrities. The roll call of guests included Genevieve Nnaji, Stephanie Okereke, Michael Ezuruonye, Jim Iyke, Emeka Ike, Chika Ike, Shan George, Segun Arinze, and many more.

Popular Nollywood actress Hilda Dokubo, who has been off the scene for some time now, returns in a new movie titled Stigma. From all indications, she has lost none of her charisma and acting skills.

SEGUN ARINZE AND EMEKA IKE IN WAR OF WORDS

There seems no end in the sight to the rivalry between prominent  Nollywood actors Segun Arinze and Emeka Ike. The two men have been at loggerheads following the election, which produced Segun Arinze as president of the Actors Guild of Nigeria. The result of this election was challenged from several quarters in the AGN and serious efforts had to be made to broker peace within the organisation. Unfortunately, a faction of the AGN went on to carry out another election, which produced Emeka Ike as President. However, the BoT of the AGN chose to recognise Segun Arinze as the duly elected president. Since then things have not been easy between the two men. Recently Emeka Ike came out to advise the FG not to deal with the AGN under the leadership of Segun Arinze. In a quick reply, Segun Arinze opined that Emeka was confused and misinformed. Emeka Ike is has already dragged the AGN to court in an effort to get himself declared as the rightful president of the AGN. Emeka Ike was banned last year by the AGN for misconduct.

IS GENEVIEVE PREGNANT FOR D'BANJ?

For some months now, rumors have been making the rounds that star actress Genevieve Nnaji is pregnant for Dapo Olabanjo (aka D'Banj). This story has simply refused to go away, and now a soft sell magazine - News of The People has blown the story into the open by publishing a headline story - "Pregnancy Tale Trails Genevieve. Genevieve initially denied being involved with D'Banj , but the cat was let out of the bag when she appeared 'with D'Banj  at the birthday party of the duo of P-Square, and again at the MTV awards. As to whether Genevieve is truly pregnant for D'Banj, well time will tell. Watch this space.
