The premiere of the movie, The Betrayed, was held in Lagos on Wednesday (August 1, 2024) at Filmhouse IMAX in Lekki. Some of those in attendance were Gabriel Afolayan, Uche Montana, Ibrahim Suleiman, Jemima Osunde, Daniel Etim Effiong, Zulumoke Oyibo, and Naz Onuzo
The Betrayed is the directorial debut of Zulumoke Oyibo, co-founder of Inkblot Productions. The Betrayed stars Gabriel Afolayan, Uche Montana, Ibrahim Suleiman, Jemima Osunde, Adunni Ade, Vine Olugu, Stephanie Zibili, and Aderonke Onuoha.
It tells the story of Amarachi (played by Uche Montana) whose life was a picture-perfect fairytale ) until her husband (played by Gabriel Afolayan) was arrested for the murder of his girlfriend. The Betrayed opens in cinemas in Nigeria on August 2, 2024.
