Samuel Ajirebi Completes Filming For Accelerate Studios Backed Short Film, "Egbeji"


Second-generation filmmaker, Samuel Olasehinde (aka Samuel Ajirebi), has wrapped up filming Egbeji, a short film funded under the Accelerate Film Project of Accelerate Studios. He participated in the 2024 edition of the Accelerate Film Project and his pitch for Egbeji was one of five pitches which received funding.

The film was shot over the course of five days at Ibrahim Chatta's film village on the outskirts of Ibadan. Egbeji was written and directed by Samuel Olasehinde. The movie was produced by Rhoda Idowu. Executive producers are Colette Otusheso and Esse Akwawa.

He is the son of industry veteran, Kayode Olasehinde, popularly known as Ajirebi. Samuel Olasehinde started out in the film industry as a child actor. He studied Law at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile Ife. After completing his Law degree in 2017, he returned to the film industry. His acting credits include Elenini (Africa Magic series), Okoto, and Antecedent. His writing credits include Different Strokes and Malaika.
