MILDRED OKWO'S 'THE MEETING' PREMIERES ON AFRICAMAGIC SHOWCASE TODAY, OCTOBER 18

AfricaMagic Showcase (DStv channel 151) will be showing Mildred Okwo's award-winning romantic comedy, The Meeting, at 21:00CAT (8pm Nigerian time) today. The Meeting stars Rita Dominic, Femi Jacobs, Linda Ejiofor, Jide Kosoko, Kate Henshaw, Basorge Tariah Jnr., and Nse Ikpe Etim. The movie revolves around Makinde Esho (Femi Jacobs), a Lagos-based corporate esxecutive, who is sent to Abuja by his company, to secure an important contract. However, he finds himself at the mercy of political patronage, bureaucratic red tape, and his tender heart.

The Meeting won the AMVCA 2015 award for Best Movie Comedy. It also won the director, Mildred Okwo, the award for Best Director at the Nollywood Movies Award 2013.
