Hooray! Today (March 7) is the birthday of Nollywood veteran, Pete Edochie. He was
born in Enugu State, Nigeria. He completed his Primary and Secondary in Zaria,
Kaduna State. Later, he proceeded to England to further his education in the mid 60’s. He did a
course in Journalism and Television in School of Journalism and Television. He came
into limelight in the 1980s when he played the lead role of Okonkwo in an NTA
adaptation of Chinua Achebe's all time bestselling novel, "Things Fall
Apart"...
Some of
his movies are: Evil men, Igodo, Narrow Escape, Battle Line, Billionaires Club,
Dogs Meeting, No More War, Secret Pain, just to mention but a few. He has been
given several awards and National
honours. He is married with children among whom are Yul and Linc Edochie both actorsJoin us to wish him a happy birthday.
