Nollywood keeps turning out super talents that will sway the industry in the nearest future, an example of which is Diana Yekini. Diana Yekinni is an up-and-coming British-Nigerian actress who proudly represents the new generation of talented performers to recently emerge out of Nigeria’s prolific film industry...
Diana made her film debut in 2009 with a strong role in the award-winning IJE alongside Genevieve Nnaji and Omotola Jalade. Her win at the 2012 GIAMA Screen Icon Search Award in Houston led to Diana being cast in several productions, including LAGOS COUGARS in which she plays the sassy African-American Chantelle.
Since moving to Nigeria in 2013, Diana has also appeared in the EbonyLife TV drama A NEW YOU, ALL THAT GLITTERS, SARO THE MUSICAL, and SECRET LIVES OF BABA SEGI’S WIVES. She recently starred in the stage play FOR COLORED GIRLS as Lady in Blue alongside Funke Akindele, Osas Ighodaro and Carol King.
A trained tap dancer, Diana studied theater and dance at the Brit School of Performing Arts in London and at the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York. She earned her BA in Theatre from the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in Los Angeles.
