CHIGOZIE ATUANYA BACK IN NIGERIA AFTER RECEIVING AWARD IN VIRGINIA


Nollywood star, Chigozie Atuanya, is back in Nigeria, after a visit to the United States, during which he premiered his movie, Chetanna, at the World Igbo Festival of Arts and Culture, which took place in Staunton, Virginia. At the festival, the actor received the Igbo Community Service Appreciation Award from the Council of Igbo States in America. He was given the award in recognition of his outstanding contribution to the promotion of Igbo values, his contribution to Nollywood, and the premiere of his movie, Chetanna.

Meanwhile, preparations are in top gear for the Houston premiere of Chetanna, which will take place on October 11 at the Igbo Catholic Community Centre. Already, Houston is flooded with fliers advertising the premiere. The actor was at the Houston studios of KPFT 90.1 FM during his visit to promote the premiere.

Chigozie departed the US on August 19, arriving in Nigeria, on August 20. The Houston premiere of his eagerly anticipated movie, Chetanna, will be  followed by premieres in Lagos, Aba, Owerri, Enugu, and Umuahia.
