PICTURES FROM NIGERIAN BROADCASTERS NITE: UTI'S BIRTHDAY AND HOSTING OF LABI OLAYORI

Call it a double celebration, you may not have been too far wrong because it wasn’t just a night to celebrate both famous TV hosts - Uti Nwachukwu and Labi Olayori - it was also the former’s birthday on Saturday August the 3rd. Fans and friends rocked the dancing floor and toasted to the health of Uti, the winner of the fifth edition of Africa’s biggest TV reality show, 'Big Brother Africa All Stars. The mammoth crowd that throbbed at the Club Vegas, the venue of the event, not only confirmed the growing popularity of the monthly gig; it showed how popular and hugely loved the pair of Uti and Labi really were. Labi Olayori, the delectable host of TVC’s popular programme, ‘Entertainment Splash’, perfectly handled both the good, and the naughty questions she was asked, and she could not conceal her joy when she was presented the ‘Certificate of Honour’ for being crowned the NBMA’s Most Popular TV Presenter in Nigeria.

The event, which was hosted by the ace comedian, De-Don, reached climax point when the birthday boy, Uti Nwachukwu sauntered into the hall. The memorable night had in attendance popular broadcasters, top On-Air Personalities and showbiz bigwigs, like Mrs Alero Deujj (Villa Alero), Klint de Drunk and wife, and Weird MC.

The Nigerian Broadcaster’s Nite holds every last Saturday of the month when two winners of the yearly Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards (NBMA) are selected and hosted at one of the biggest lounges/clubs in the state. The fourth in the series of the Nigerian Broadcasters Merit Awards, will hold in Ibadan. The Nigerian Broadcasters Nite is powered by The Reality Entertainment, in association with Crown Natures Nigeria Limited, and V-Channel.
