GLITZY PREMIERE OF YVONNE NELSON’S 'HOUSE OF GOLD'

Amidst glitz and glamour, the movie, House of Gold was, on Friday (July 19), premiered at the Silverbird Galleria, Victoria Island, Lagos. Following a successful showing of the movie in Ghana, House of Gold made an entry into Nigerian cinemas with an impressive turnout in a ceremony that attracted celebrities and hundreds of Nigeria movie enthusiasts.
After a red carpet reception which was graced by Ghollywood and Nollywood celebrities in Yvonne Nelson, Ebube Nwagbo, Rukky Sanda, Eddie Watson, Majid Michel, Pascal Amanfo, Alexx Ekubo, Yomi Casual, Tana Adelana, Elenu, Pencil, Venita Akpofure, Kunle Oluwaremi to name a few, guests and revellers trooped to the cinema to see the movie.

Most of the movie’s scenes were greeted with laughter and cheering in enthusiasm as the audience appreciated the witty dialogue and hilarious scenarios that filled the movie. House of Gold indeed tickled the funny bone of the audience and kept them glued to their seats till the lights came up to signify the end of the film. 

Directed by Pascal Amanfo, the movie tells the stories of the children of Dan Ansah Williams, a high-flying entrepreneur, business mogul, polygamist and socialite who is battling with cancer and has 6 weeks to live. With the help of his long time associate and legal representative he embarks on a mission to recall all his children, most of who were born out of wedlock, back home. Dan’s last wish is to have his children all under one roof for 7 days so that they will get to know each other and bond due to the fact that they share the same blood line. However, that reunion proves a little more than everyone bargained for as each child indeed returns with an agenda and this sets the stage for the most hilarious and bizarre 7 days of their lives. 

Produced by Media GH, the movie which was affirmed by guests as creative symbiotic expression from the collaboration of Ghana meets Naija stars Yvonne Nelson, Majid Michel, Eddie Watson, Luckie Lawson, Omar Krupp, and Nigerian musicians Omawumi Megbele, Nigeria Idol Season 2 winner, Mercy Chinwo and Ice Prince Zamani. The eclectic casting mix had earlier been described by Yvonne Nelson as a producer’s choice to reach out to film lovers in both nations.

  3. Yvonne looks wow.Rukky,I can't bear to look @ U,your outfit is disastrous.Majid looks good as usual,however I wish you looked more formal. Mercy you should have won a dress;you look underdressed.Ik your open chest and jumping trouser spoilt your look for me,but for those flaws I would have said you looked dapper.
