FUNKE AKINDELE AND FIANCE PERFORM NIKAH

Star actress, Funke Akindele, and her fiance, Alhaji Kenny Almaroof, yesterday performed their nikah.The nikah is the contracting of a marriage according to Islamic rites. The nikah was attended by a few family members and close friends.The couple will have their engagement on Saturday (May 26), at All Seasons Plaza, Agidingbi (Lagos).Their wedding will take place in December, this year. We wish the couple all the best as they begin their journey into marriage.

    What is the difference between Nikkah and Wedding is as if u are confused. Nikkah is an Arabic word which means consummation or having intercourse after due process and that makes u husband and wife which is already done. While wasting ur resources again? What u people called engagement is not part of islam perhaps u mean aqidu-nikkah (consummation).
    Basically,what u av done is aqidu-nikkah which makes u couple and what remains now is walimatun-nikkah (Ceremonial Aspect). I pray Almighty Allah put plenty barakah in the wedding and may u make positive regret not negative regret. Happy marriage.

    Congrats. Everybody has a past be it pleasant or nasty. Kenny and Funke the two are the best couple of the year 2012. This is because you take each on a platform of honesty and put the past behind you. How about those 'promiscuous guys' out there. They got married to only one wife but have numerous concubines.
