The film industry, which we now know as Nollywood emerged in Nigeria in the 1990s. Nigeria is the largest black nation on earth, and the home of Nollywood.
It is the home of stars, who have now become household names, the world over - Genevieve Nnaji, Ramsey Nouah, Ini Edo, Mike Ezuruonye, Mercy Johnson, Jim Iyke, Rita Dominic, Mike Ezuruonye, Ini Edo, Nonso Diobi, Funke Akindele, Pete Edochie, Ngozi Ezeonu, Olu Jacobs, and Patience Ozokwo, to name a few.
