Nollywood by Mindspace: THE FANTASTIC PREMIERE OF '90NINTH DAY'

The premiere of the movie, 90Ninth Day, produced by Paul Apel took place at the Silverbird Entertainment Centre (Abuja) on Friday, August 12, 2011. The movie, stars Bimbo Akintola, Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey, Paul Apel, Stephanie Apel, and Orduen Apel.
The premiere was attended by the stars of the movie, various personalities from the movie world, representatives of several film bodies, members of the 09 Bikers motorcycle club (Abuja), and of course, a host of movie lovers. The premiere was an incredible success, and the movie had to be screened three times in order to cater to the large audience that turned up for the premiere. Ben Murray-Bruce of Silverbird is reported to have said that the movie broke attendance records for the Abuja area. The event was anchored by TV personality, Rachel Ejirin.

Synopsis

90Ninth Day is the exciting and captivating story of Engineer Jack (Paul Apel) who was awarded a power plant contract by the government. This begins a chain of treacherous and tragic events for him and his family. Susan (Bimbo Akintola) who lost out of the bid embarks on a blind revenge. In the dangerous triangle is one of Jack's friends Col. Ben (Keppy Ekpeyong Bassey) whose obsession with becoming an army general turns him into a psychopath. For honor, Jack's family hangs in the balance. It all plays out in the 90Ninth Day as written and directed by Paul Tavershima Apel (Papel).
