UCHE JOMBO PREPARES TO DO SOME "DAMAGE"

Preparations for one of the most anticipated events in Nollywood this year has reached fever pitch. The event is none other than the world premier of Damage, a movie from the stables of Uche Jombo Studios. The movie premier is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 31, 2011.
The venue for the premier is the Silverbird Galleria in Victoria Island, Lagos (Nigeria). The premier will kick off a series of screenings and premiers around the world, which will run into 2012.

On August 5, 2011, the movie will be released in Nigerian cinemas. The movie will then be taken on a tour of the UK from August 26, through August 29. Cities to be covered on the UK tour are London, Birmingham, Manchester, and Leeds. The movie will be taken to the US in September this year, and then to Canada in February 2012.

Damage is the first in a collection of three socially conscious movies produced by Uche Jombo  Studios, which are collectively known as The Damage Movies. It deals with the issue of domestic violence and the psychological effect it could have especially on the children. In the movie, a man and his wife love each other immensely yet their day to day life can only be described as a ‘cat and mouse’ situation as they fight violently almost on a daily basis. The movie stars Uche Jombo, Kalu Ikeagwu, Basorge Tariah Jr. It was directed by Moses Inwang.
