Uche Jombo Studios has released the final trailer for her upcoming movie Damage. Damage is one of a collection of three distinct but interwoven stories produced by Uche Jombo Studios. Together, these three movies are known as The Damage Movies. The eagerly anticipated world premier of The Damage Movies takes place on July 31, 2011 at Silverbird Cinemas in Lagos. Aimed at advocacy for social issues, each story in The Damage Movies addresses important problems affecting individuals, families and societies at large. The other two movies in the collection are My Life, My Damage and My Country, Their Damage. Featured in the movies are Uche Jombo, Kalu Ikeagwu, Tonto Dikeh, and Basorge Tariah Jr.
Branding Nigeria
The movie aims to break new grounds in creating precedents in the Nigerian movie industry. Not the average Nollywood flick, Damage has been produced to international standards. Speaking on her efforts to promote the image of Nigeria, through the movie, Uche Jombo said:
“I wanted to go to America as a child, not because anyone told me about the States, but because I had watched American movies that were already branded with Hollywood. We know the “cross” Nollywood carries by way of branding Nigeria.
