Since the beginning of the year 2011, a clear trend has been appeared in Nigeria's magazine industry. Top magazines have been drafting the services of top Nollywood stars in the battle to survive in the fiercely competitive magazine industry in Nigeria.
Many of them have featured top Nollywood actresses on their covers, and they have published feature articles on Nollywood stars as well.
For instance, this April Genevieve which is edited by Betty Irabor has on its cover Nollywood star actress, Omotola Jalade-Ekeinde. Not to be outdone, WOW magazine, which is edited by Julie Odia has on its cover popular Nollywood actress, Tonto Dikeh. Ladybrille magazine, which is has edited by Uduak Uduok is published has on its cover, actress Mbong Amata, who happens to be the wife of director Jeta Amata. Today's Woman has on its cover top actress and funnywoman Funke Akindele.
